Bison BLT Burgers

  1. Preheat a grill, cast iron pan or a flat top over medium heat. 
  2. Mix together the bison, bourbon, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape the meat into four equal patties. 
  3. Grill the bison for about 4 minutes per side, or until they are cook to medium temperature (140-145F). 
  4. While the burgers cook, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let it drain on a paper towel covered plate. 
  5. To assemble the burgers, spread mayo onto one of the burger bun halves if using. Stack the bison burger, bacon, lettuce, and tomato and top with the second half of the bun.
