Ingredients

Venison Breakfast Sausage (or use half of this recipe and make the rest into patties):

Instructions

  1. Start by combining the ingredients to make the venison breakfast sausage. Instead of forming the sausage into logs or patties, add it directly to a large pan over medium heat with the oil/butter. Cook the sausage until browned and remove from the pan.
  2. Place the pan back over medium heat and add the potato, onion and pepper. Let them saute for about 3-5 minutes. Add ¼ cup of water, cover the pan and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the potatoes are soft. Once softened, add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  3. Now it’s time to assemble the bowls! Divide the crumbled venison sausage and veggie mixture evenly between 4 bowls or containers with lids.
  4. If you’re meal prepping, secure lids and place these in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds on in a pan when you want to eat.
  5. If you’re ready to serve, top with a fried egg (if you wish), sliced avocado and any other toppings you desire! Enjoy!
