So…WHO KNEW that grenadine syrup was just like fake pomegranate and a bunch of high fructose syrup?! Why did I always think it was made of cherries? Mind BLOWN, life changed, moving on.
Well anyway, after I found that out, I decided I could easily make my own with my favorite cocktail sweetener – agave. I just think agave mixes so darn well in cocktail and news flash – tequila is made from agave. So, it’s a naturally awesome match. Actually, the tequila I’m using here, Exotico Tequila uses 100% blue agave to make theirs. It’s my favorite tequila to buy because it is crazy affordable and come on…you’re telling me you’re not obsessed with this bottle. Mhmmmm honey.
I love the layered look of this cocktail, it’s just really pretty. Imagine serving it at a dinner party, all fancied up and all you did was throw like 4 ingredients plus some garnish in a pitcher and BOOM. In the recipe notes, I am showing you how to make just one cocktail…I know no one likes to do math when booze is involved so I got your back.
This cocktail is part of the Summer Party Series my blogger pal, Jess at plays well with butter, and I are hosting. All summer long, keep your eyes peeled for more party ideas and easy hosting tips. She made a BOMB Refined Sugar Free Margarita.

How is this sugar free? It has OJ in it. That’s loads of sugar.
The recipe says refined sugar-free. 100% orange juice has zero added refined sugars, just naturally occurring fructose sugar.
