These sticky ground pork rice bowls combine a sticky & sweet sauce, juicy ground pork, broccoli, and your choice of rice in a healthy bowl meal.

In our house, we LOVE a flavorful, Asian-inspired sticky meatball. However, when I have less than 30 minutes to get dinner together on a weeknight, I’m going for something super quick. That’s where these sticky ground pork rice bowls come in. It’s like a deconstructed sweet & sticky meatball situation with broccoli and rice. You’re going to love ’em.
What’s in these sticky ground pork rice bowls?
- Ground pork
- Onion
- Garlic
- Fresh ginger
- Broccoli
- Hoisin sauce – I like the Coconut Secret brand for a healthier option
- Soy sauce or coconut amnios – I like this one
- Rice (or cauliflower rice)

What seasonings go well with the pork?
I absolutely LOVE ginger with pork. It’s one of my favorite flavor pairings. The hoisin sauce also has notes from Chinese Five Spice which is a blend of anise, fennel, peppercorn, cloves, and cinnamon. All of those flavor notes complement the juicy, ground pork perfectly in this pork rice bowl recipe.

How do you caramelize the meat in pork rice bowls?
The sweetness from the hoisin sauce actually starts to caramelize in the pan as the pork rice bowls cook and start to give a wonderful, caramelized texture to the ground pork. It makes for the perfect flavorful & sticky bite!

Assembling pork rice bowls
All you need to do to assemble and serve these bowls is to cook the pork and broccoli with the sauce in a pan and steam rice (or heat up cauliflower rice). When everything is ready to go, lay down a bed of rice and top with the sticky pork broccoli mixture.
Then, if you want, top the pork rice bowls with sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha, and a little extra coconut aminos if you’d like!

Prep and storage tips:
This is a great, easy and quick weeknight meal that can be made in under 30 minutes. To cut down on prep time the nice of, I like to cut my broccoli when I get it from the store, wash and store it in a zip-top bag lined with a paper towel.
These pork rice bowls are also great for meal prep. You can pre-assemble them and they’ll keep in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container.
